There are times when we need someone to talk to. Being able to release some of the thoughts and beliefs that are causing us distress and limiting us can be very therapeutic. Having someone witness our story that is non-judgmental, provides insight, validation and empathy can be a comforting experience. Therapy offers the opportunity to do so with confidentiality. I strive to respect and support my clients through their journey. I actively listen and sometimes provide gentle guidance towards increased self awareness and behavioural change. My hope for my clients is that in therapy they can make sense of whats going on for them, increase self awareness, better tolerate their emotions, improve their relationships with others and with themselves.

I understand that sometimes even when we share a great deal of history, love and family many challenges can exist in a relationship. I help couples communicate more effectively. I offer a place for both partners to safely be heard and together we work on understanding each other better. Some common issues couples may seek therapy for are: infidelity, lack of communication, anger problems, abusive behaviours, issues with sex, money, parenting/co-parenting, culture etc.
If you are from out of town or can't make it to my office location I do offer Skype sessions. Some clients also do a combination of in person and Skype. You will need a computer/tablet/phone with a webcam as well as the Skype program or app. Ontario residents only. Payment for these sessions is done by email transfer.
